Engineer I                           Engineer II


Engineer I - Full Time

The Engineer I functions as an experienced member of our Engineering department. Typically provides end-user support to our clients and participates in teams and larger projects as required. The candidate will be a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and have solid skills in the following areas:

  • Windows Vista and XP Professional installation, configuration, troubleshooting, migration, upgrades, and security

  • Configuring and troubleshooting typical anti-virus and anti-spam applications

  • Setup, configuration, migration, and troubleshooting of e-mail clients in a POP, IMAP, or Exchange environment

  • Networking skills with good understanding of DNS, WINS, and DHCP

  • Setup, configure, and troubleshoot network printing

  • Wireless client configuration and troubleshooting

  • Microsoft Office setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and best practices

  • Good oral communication skills both on the telephone and face-to-face

  • Proven writing abilities (work notes, client reports, etc.)

Day to day activities will include:

  • Serving as a first level contact for clients via telephone and also on-site

  • Manage assigned cases from assignment to completion

  • Interact with end users to resolve cases

  • Record technical service details, document activities, recognize and forward new work opportunities

  • Provide technical support to account managers and sales professionals

  • Provide technical support to lower-level engineers

This full-time position requires 1-3 years of relevant engineering experience and a college degree preferably in MIS/IT. Experience, professionalism, maturity, and a commitment to customer satisfaction are a must. We are a Microsoft Certified Partner and you must also have a MCP certificate (current). The Engineer I must be able to work independently or in a team, have strong communication skills, and a history of successfully demonstrated achievements. Salary commensurate with experience. Engineer II - Full-time

The Engineer II functions as an experienced leader within our Engineering department. Typically serves as a team leader for projects and clients and in this capacity, directs team members and coordinates projects.   The candidate will be an MCSE or have made significant progress toward their MCSE with solid proficiencies in the following areas:  

  • Windows 2000/2003 Server including Active Directory, migration, troubleshooting, & security

  • Exchange 2000/2003 including upgrades, troubleshooting, anti-virus and anti-spam

  • Microsoft IIS operation and configuration

  • Microsoft ISA Server operation and configuration

  • Microsoft Terminal Server operation and configuration

  • Networking skills with good understanding of DNS, WINS, and DHCP

  • Design, configuration and deployment expertise in VPN, wireless, and Remote Access solutions

  • Strong hardware/software troubleshooting and network diagnostic skills

  • Wide-area networking skills

  • Project Management

  • Proven writing skills (design documents, server builds, etc.)  

Day to day activities will include:

  • Serve as an escalation resource for lower level engineers

  • Manage on-going projects and all related resources

  • Interact with customer decision makers and explain technology options and business benefits

  • Create customer proposals and deployment plans as required

  • Provide technical support to account managers and sales professionals

  • Provide technical support to lower-level engineers  

This full-time position requires 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience and a college degree preferably in MIS/IT. Experience, professionalism, maturity, and a commitment to customer satisfaction are a must. We are a Microsoft Certified Partner and you must also have a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certificate (current) or made substantial progress toward receiving your MCSE. The Engineer II must also have good project management experience, strong communication skills, sound client management ability, and a history of successfully demonstrated achievements.
